Equity Advisory Group Interest Form
Partner with PSE to shape the future of Energy Equity
What is it?
PSE's Equity Advisory Group (EAG) is a collaborative partnership between community leaders and PSE, working together to tackle the complex, systems-level equity challenges related to the transformation to cleaner energy. As one of up to 17 EAG members, you'll bring your insights about community needs and perspectives into strategic discussions that shape how PSE approaches equity at the foundational level—focusing on the big-picture systems and policies that create lasting change communities can feel. The EAG partners with the utility to design frameworks and approaches that will help define equitable energy access for years to come.
What does it do?
The EAG provides strategic guidance to PSE on embedding equity into its operations, including energy planning and implementation. EAG members collaborate on solutions to help PSE deliver a cleaner energy future that benefits all customers, including vulnerable populations and highly impacted communities, while meeting Washington's Clean Energy Transformation Act objectives:
• Identify and address community barriers while uncovering opportunities to reduce energy burdens and equitably distribute benefits
• Review approaches, metrics and programs that accelerate equity, helping make clean energy more accessible and affordable while improving accountability to all communities
• Amplify community voices and broaden engagement with the communities we serve, particularly vulnerable populations and highly impacted communities including low-income households, tribal, and rural communities.
What are the EAG’s expected activities?
Meeting Schedule: EAG members meet 9 times per year on the third Monday evening of the month (except April, August, and December), plus one annual retreat.
Core Activities: Facilitated sessions combine strategic discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and direct input on PSE initiatives. Members are expected to provide ongoing feedback to continuously improve how the group and PSE work together. Members may choose to participate in optional committees for special projects and tasks.
Between Meetings: Members review materials independently to come prepared, respond timely to communications, engage asynchronously as needed, and work with PSE team members to provide effective insight on topics ranging from straightforward to highly complex.
Travel: Most activities are remote but expect some travel a few times per year (reimbursed).
How will PSE make EAG meetings accessible?
- PSE offers accessibility and provides support to EAG members to enable full participation.
- PSE can work with EAG members if accessibility needs are required.
- Members are compensated for their time and expertise
- On-site activities are planned around a range of accessibility needs
- For members with limited internet and technology access, PSE provides technical assistance to enable virtual participation.
What are the benefits of participating on the EAG?
• Drive meaningful change by directly shaping PSE's clean energy transformation and equity initiatives
• Expand access to affordable clean energy options for your community and others across our service area
• Build powerful networks with fellow community leaders advancing equity in the clean energy space
• Deepen your expertise in clean utility operations and planning, regulatory processes, policy, and the emerging clean energy economy

When an appropriate opportunity arises, we will invite you to provide an expedited update to your application.
